Building Wings: Spreading Our Wings

The Building Wings campaign, which initially raised funds to improve the pediatric wing at San Juan Regional Medical Center (SJRMC), is now expanding its impact to the Emergency Department!


SJRMC is reinforcing its commitment to pediatric patients by developing four dedicated emergency rooms for patients 18 and under. This initiative aims to provide a calming, family-friendly environment during emergency visits, supported by pediatric-focused care and child-friendly spaces designed to better meet the unique needs of our youngest patients.

    Every child will receive a comforting buddy, complete with a matching IV or Band-Aid, to ease worry through play.

  • Pediatric Hospital Gowns

    We will provide fun, imaginative designs that help kids feel brave and at ease.

  • Inspiration Station

    This area will be stocked with art and craft supplies for drawing, painting, and connecting with family and caregivers.

  • Four Hand-Painted Murals

    Help bring colorful, child-friendly murals to our Pediatric Emergency Rooms and create a more comforting experience for children and families.
